Cupola - Raise Your Roofline

August 27th, 2008

Elevate the design of your house, a time honored way—with a cupola??

Cupolas are making a comeback—not only for barns, but for homes, garages, commercial buildings, and gazebos. Although they are ornamental, cupolas are also very functional by circulating air and providing an inexpensive light source. Cupolas provide excellent attic ventilation by providing a natural flow of warm, moist air in an upward movement through louvered or window sides of the cupola.

Cupolas bring back a bit of country to your estate by providing building ornamentation with traditional early American architecture. Installed on rooftops, they create an asymmetrical appeal that allows the outside buildings to look there absolute best.

A cupola is defined as a dome-shaped ornamental structure that sits on top of a larger building. Cupolas are called belvedere when it can be reached by an inside stairway. Lanterns, when they have windows that illuminate the areas below. Like a skylight.

Cupolas meet aesthetic and functional needs. Most owners today use them as decorative. They just screw them in on the rooftop and top them off with a weathervane or finial. Weathervanes give your cupola a personalized and finished look.

The shapes of cupolas can be round, square or octagonal. Common materials include wood, vinyl, stone and metal.

Wood is the preferred material, as it looks natural and is weather resistant; furthermore, it can be painted to match your d?cor. Wood does not retain heat, but it requires upkeep of being painted every 5 to 6 years, smog and humidity affect how long the paint will last.

Vinyl cupolas are weather resistant. It is heavier than wood—so there may be extra cost to reconstruct the rooftop the cupola will sit on. Vinyl does not offer as many color options, and the color fades with consistent exposure to the elements. Vinyl is not environmentally friendly.

Proportion is important, in terms of look and function. Larger buildings require larger cupolas. Size is the big issue—-what they look like on the ground versus what they look like on the roof. The ratio of 1 inch cupola per one foot unbroken roofline and height a ratio of 1 ? inch (tall) per foot of roofline.

When choosing a cupola one needs to stay true to the style of the building it will be placed on, cupolas should a building architectural style. Bell style rooflines are most appropriate for buildings with gambrel roof and Colonial style homes, while pagoda style for raised center barns and French Country homes.

The biggest mistake is getting a cupola that is too small, which then has the appearance of a bird house. It’s all about a tower pointing to the sky. When properly proportioned it articulates the skyline, giving the building a more interesting profile.

Cupolas are an architectural accent. They are a great way to add class, sophistication, or a little country charm to add beauty to the roofline of buildings. From residential barns to grand cathedrals, the cupola is a timeless masterpiece and an inspiration to many. http://prairierosecountry.com.

Prairie Rose Country sells cupolas built by quality craftsman out of marine plywood that provide excellent roof ventilation. Cupola rooftops have a wooden substructure that is then covered with copper sheeting with polished or patina finishes. Cupolas built weather vane ready. http://prairierosecountry.com

Promotional Mugs Are An Inexpensive Giveaway Item

August 27th, 2008

When at a trade show, a business is expected to give away products. However, that can get incredibly costly. On one hand, they want to distribute something that will have their branding information on it. On the other hand, they want to be able to afford what they are distributing. That is why many businesses have started usingpromotional mugs to market their company.

Promotional mugs are popular for a large amount of reasons. They are incredibly cost effective. When bought in bulk, companies can cut the costs of them even more. This makes them an affordable marketing tool. While other items might be very expensive, an item such as this can be given away at a trade show without the company risking a huge loss. It is the type of advertising that manages to pay for itself because of the low initial fee.

They are also highly useful. Promotional mugs can be taken out by customers first thing in the morning when they pour their coffee. When they see the company branding information, they will immediately think of the products and services that company offers. That connection causes them to be more inclined to seek out the company when they are in need of the type of services the company offers.

These types of items can be used by anyone. While certain items are only used by certain people, these items are able to reach everyone. Most people take out a cup to get something to drink in the morning. With a giveaway such as this, that cup can have company information for the world to see stamped right on the side of it.

Promotional mugs are not only for home use. They can also be taken to work and brought on trips in the car. Friends of the customer will notice them and ask questions. This kind of talk can be incredibly helpful for a business. It can generate positive words about the company that are invaluable when trying to lure customers.

These products offer a lot of advertisement for a small price. Products such as these continue to advertise for the company for years. Every time the product surfaces, questions can be asked and answered, and more customers can find their way to that business.

It is not only about marketing, though. It is also about getting a connection with the public. Free items such as these can help to create the connection that is needed in order to do well. Customers feel as if they are being treated well when they are given free items. They are prone to remember the company that gave them something at a trade show or other event. When they need a service that the company offers, they are then more likely to go to that company.

How I’ve Built my 40k List

August 27th, 2008

Throughout the last year I’ve tested many different ways to build my optin list. Some worked well, others didn’t work at all. An overview on the best methods to build a huge opt-in list can be found in this article.

Have you ever wondered how those Top listbuilders got their huge lists? Don’t wonder, read this article and you’ll understand why some people struggle to get signups and others are getting tons of signups each day.

There are different methods to build your list and as a beginner you should start with the most basic methods. The listbuilding beginner should set his first goal of getting 1000 opt-in subscribers. Once you have a list of 1000 people you have more marketing power and your list will grow much faster. The best methods to be used for getting the first 1000 subscribers are Traffic Exchanges, Credit Based Safelists and Giveaway Events. With these 3 simple methods you can build up a list of 1000 subscribers in as little as 2 months.

The next step is to set your goal to 10.000 subscribers. This of course needs some more marketing techniques. Once you have a list of 1000 subscribers you can start to do ad-swaps with other marketers so that each of you gets more signups. You should also start your own Giveaway Event or even your own Membership Site.

For me the 2 best listbuilding methods so far were starting my own Giveaway Events and launching my own Membership Sites. The reason why these 2 are so good is because they include an affiliate program. Affiliate programs are great listbuilders for the owner but also do they offer huge benefits for the affiliates.

If you want to build up huge lists of 50.000 or even more subscribers, then you need to have your own products or membership sites. Through a product or membership site launch you list can grow by 10.000 signups in one week. Also will these give you a steady growth of your list, because finally it all comes down to how many signups you get every day.

So I hope you like the here described methods for building your opt-in list. Once you have experienced the power of a product launch, you’ll agree that this is the most powerful listbuilding technique on the planet.

All you need to do now is to take action. Go out there and get the signups for your opt-in list. It’s a lot of work that you need to do once but the profits will be there for months to come because you can always send out a promotion to your list and make sales for an affiliate product. Also several promotion methods will result in long term traffic which means you get more and more signups to your list.

An increasing number of signups means more promotion power and more income for you. Imagine having a 40k list… what kind of Joint Ventures you could do to easily grow your list to 100k.

So it all starts out slowly but it can grow to a huge income. The money is in the list, that’s what everybodys says and I won’t tell you different!

How to Improve Your Google Listing and Achieve a Higher Search Engine Ranking

August 27th, 2008

There are many ways in which you can improve your Google listing, and some work better than others depending on the type of website you have or on your niche. Here are ways in which you can get a higher Google ranking, or even a better search engine ranking in general.

We shall forget about onpage SEO such as use of meta tags and use of keywords since that has been done to death by now. There are other things that you can do to improve your search engine ranking, and among them are:

1. Put a site map on your website. You can generate an XML site map using any of several tools listed on Google, and a simple, search should enable you to find one. Once you have followed the instructions, you should submit the site map to Google and to Yahoo, and each will then be able to crawl your website without hindrance. It will also be updated each time the search engines crawl your site because XML sitemaps update as you add new pages to your site. Your site map should uploaded to the root directory of your website.

2. Start up a blog using one of the two main free blogging hosts, Blogger or Wordpress. In fact, why not use both and get the benefit of each? Blogger is owned by Google, so a Blogger blog is of particular benefit for Google listings. Put the URL of the pages of your website that you want promote on your blog, and these pages will be visited next time your blog is crawled.

3. Open an account with Technorati, and some of the other social bookmarking sites, and submit your blog to them. Ping them each time you make a new posting, and you will get good exposure to search engines whenever they visit these sites (which is very often).

4. Use social networking sites such as YouTube, MySpace and Facebook to advertise your blog, or even your website. In fact put both your blog and your website on these sites, and you will get one-way back-links to your site, thus improving your Google PageRank and search engine results positions.

5. Make sure that all of your links are open. Nothing ruins your Google listing than broken links, and you must test all of your links to make sure that they are all working. You aren’t expected to do that manually, and there is software available online to test your links for you.

6. Avoid reciprocal links like the plague, unless you have arranged them privately and both of you are happy with their positioning. Links farms, and large list pages on which you are at #259 on the SEO page, are not only useless with respect to any PageRank votes, but can actually do you harm. So steer clear of them. There are enough ways of securing one-way links without having to negotiate reciprocal links. These days are long gone.

7. Register with Google Webmaster Tools, and check out their analysis of your website. The software can detect broken links, but more importantly, can carry out other tasks such as making sure that only one form of your URL is recognized, and checking out your Meta tags. Although these are not used as much as previously, they are used or Google wouldn’t be checking them for you!

8. Register for a free Squidoo lens, and use your URL on that. Not simply just as a URL, but as a means of solving a problem. A Squidoo lens is like a mini-website, and you can use it to present a problem, and then your website as a solution. Not only does that get you one-way back-links to your choice of website page, but also the potential of loads of traffic: people that want their problem solved.

So there are eight methods of promoting your website and improving your search engine ranking. There e other ways to improve your Google listing, but these are very effective off site methods of doing so, other than 1 and 5 that are essential on-site techniques - even more important than meta tags and the correct html tags.

Apply each one of these and you should be rewarded with an improved Google listing, and your search engine ranking in general should be enhanced.

These are only eight methods of improving your Google listings, but SEOcious will provide you with many more methods of attaining a very high search engine ranking for your website.

Part I and II - How Mr. Banting Lost 35 Lbs in 8 Months Even Though he Drank a Lot of Alcohol

August 27th, 2008

How Mr. Banting Lost 35 lbs in 8 months even though he drank a lot of alcohol.

A story in three parts.

“Mr Banting was a fat man. At age sixty-five, the five-foot five Banting weighted in at over two hundred pounds.

‘I could not stoop to tie my shoe…nor attend to the little offices humanity requires without considerable pain and difficulty, which only the corpulent can understand,’ he wrote.

“Banting was recently retired…had no family history of obesity, nor did he consider himself either lazy, inactive, or given to excessive indulgence at the table.

“Nonetheless, corpulence had crept up on him in his thirties, as with many of us today, despite his best efforts. He took up daily rowing and gained muscular vigor, a prodigious appetite, and yet more weight.

“He cut back on calories, which failed to induce weight loss but did leave him exhausted and beset by boils. He tried walking, riding horseback, and manual labor. His weight increased. He consulted the best doctors… He tried purgatives and diuretics. His weight increased…”

To be continued.

How Mr. Banting Lost 35 lbs in 8 months even though he drank a lot of alcohol. Part II

“He cut back on calories, which failed to induce weight loss but did leave him exhausted and beset by boils. He tried walking, riding horseback, and manual labor. His weight increased. He consulted the best doctors… He tried purgatives and diuretics. His weight increased…” (from Part I)

Part II.

“Luckily for Banting, he consulted a surgeon who had recently been to Paris. The doctor had just heard the great physiologist Claude Bernard lecture on diabetes.

The liver, reported Bernard, secretes glucose, the substance of both sugar and starch. It was this glucose that accumulates excessively in the bloodstream of diabetics. It struck him that “a diet of only meat and dairy would check the secretion of sugar in the urine of a diabetic.”

Banting’s surgeon immediately formulated a dietary regimen for Banting. Namely, “complete abstinence from sugars and starches.”

After all, wrote the doctor, we know that to fatten up animals, “a saccharine (sugar) and farinaceous (flour) diet is used.” He thought “excessive obesity might be allied to diabetes as to its cause…and if a purely animal diet were useful in the latter disease, a combination of animal food with a vegetable diet that contained neither sugar nor starch might…arrest the undue formation of fat.”

So here’s the regime Banting followed for the next year:

“He ate three meals a day of meat fish, or game, usually five or six ounces at a meal, with one or two stale toast or cooked fruit on the side. He had his evening tea with a few more ounces of fruit or stale toast. He scrupulously avoided any other food that might contain either sugar or starch, in particular bread, milk, beer, sweets and potatoes.”

“Despite a considerable allowance of alcohol in Banting’s regimen - four or five glasses of wine each day, a cordial every morning, and an evening tumbler of gin, whisky or brandy - Banting dropped thirty-five pounds by the following May (eight months later) and fifty pounds by early the next year.

“I have not felt better in health than now for the last twenty-six years,’ he wrote. ‘My other bodily ailments have become mere matters of history.’”

- Taubes, 2007

That was 1864. Banting’s 16 page (free) Letter on corpulence, Addressed to the Public, launched the world’s first popular diet craze. Within a year, Banting “had entered the English language as a verb meaning ‘to diet.’”

If someone is “gouty obese, and nervous, we strongly recommend him to ‘bant’” suggested the Pall Mall Gazette in June, 1865. - Taubes, 2007

Guess how the medical community of the day reacted? Some, writes Taubes,

“did what members of established societies often do when confronted with a radical new concept: they attacked both the message and the messenger. The Lancet, (like today’s Newsweek), first whined that Banting’s diet was old news. Second…that his diet could be dangerous.”

150 years later, some in the medical community raise the same question:

Is a low carb approach safe?

Today we have many modern versions of Banting’s low carb diet, most notably Atkins and South Beach. And just this year, Dr. Heidi’s ER Fat Burn Program, the very latest in a low carb-based regime, has seen great success among the participants. (One gal dropped 18 pounds in her first four weeks and got her sex drive back(!))

For some people, however, the question remains:

Is a low carb regime dangerous?

That’s next.

Steak ‘n Eggs: Good For Weight Loss?

August 27th, 2008

Steak ‘n eggs: Good or bad for weight loss?

What’s the best way to lose weight fast and remain healthy?

There has been much hysteria pro and con the Atkins-type weight-loss regime, with the low-cal/lo fat and portion control camp screaming that red meat and eggs are dangerous.

In a recent weight loss study Atkins folks sponsored, plant-based diet supporters gleefully point out that participants were being apparently counseled “to choose vegetarian sources of fat and protein.’’

Kathy Freston, a Dean Ornish low-fat, calorie-counting anti-meat fan girl, insists that “there’s a growing shift toward healthy, plant-based diets, especially among people looking to lose weight and keep it off.” And a shift away from meat, animal fats and eggs, she writes.

However, low carb, meat and blubber enthusiasts show proof of healthy weight loss and of keeping it off. Like me. Or Dr. Heidi and her ER clientele.

What should you believe?

Both. Steak (all red meats and poultry) and eggs are like cholesterol: There’s good and there’s bad. You need to know which is good and which is bad.

Bad Meat

Most meat in U.S. supermarkets and restaurants come from confined and un-pastured cows who are often sick. Poky’s animal ‘hospital’ (described in Pollan’s Omnivore’s Dilemma) is one of many big-animal hospitals that treats feedlot cattle from industrial feedlots. Most of the animals’ health problems, Pollan reports, are directly or indirectly related to what they’re fed.

The cows are force-fed corn and soy which they can’t digest. “They’re made to eat forage, and we’re making them eat grain,” says Dr. Metzin who treats them. p. 77, Omnivore’s Dilemma)

Virtually all feedlot cattle, according to animal scientists, are sick because they cannot digest grain.

The sick animals are then shot full of antibiotics so they live a little longer - so as to get a bit fatter before they’re slaughtered. Happy Sunday cookout.

So yes, the Dean Ornishes and Kathy Frestons are right. Eating bad meats and fats from from such animals can NOT be good for you. Avoid eating bad meats and fats.

Good Meat

Grass-fed animals. Grass-fed animals are pastured. [NOT pasteurized - but pastured.] This, my omnivore friends, you CAN eat. I do.

Grass-fed animals are allowed to forage and graze in pastures - on grass and other stuff on the grounds. Eating what they eat naturally. They’re not shot full of antibiotics because they’re not sick.

Good meat shopping tip: When shopping for meat, ASK the meat person: Do you have 100% grass-fed beef (or pastured chicken)? If not, find a local farmer. They’ll have grass fed beef and poultry. Google local farmers in YOUR CITY or check for local farmers online at Local Harvest or the Weston A Price Foundation.

Until you find a farmer, at least get meats that have not been fed antibiotics and hormones

Bad eggs

Same story. Don’t eat the eggs from chickens that are crammed together in spaces no bigger than an 8 and 1/2 x 11″ sheet of paper, for their entire life. Don’t eat those that are fed bio-engineered grain. Don’t eat those kept awake with lights blazing into their cages 24/7 so they can lay as many eggs as possible before they’re turned into soup. Those eggs can not be good for you. They’re available in most restaurants and supermarkets.

Good eggs

Eat eggs from pastured chickens - they’re the ones that go OUTSIDE and scratch around on the ground at the farm, eating grass, worms and such that they are designed to eat. NOTE: These eggs are also a surprise source of Vitamin D. Regular eggs do not have naturally occurring Vitamin D. See one minute Video: Surprise source of Vitamin D.

Good eggs shopping tip: Contact your local farmer for pastured chickens and eggs from pastured chickens. Organic is not enough here (not if you want that extra Vitamin D benefit, says Dr. Heidi here). See sources above.

Bottom line: Find pastured grass-fed animals. Eat those. They’re the good meat and animal fats. They have the same kind of GOOD fats that ocean fish have, they have more minerals and vitamins and they’re not fattening or disease producing, like the feedlot animals.

True, you won’t keel over after one McDonald’s hamburger. But the cumulative effect over the years of eating bad meats and bad animal fats weakens a body and makes it ripe for a disease to strike. Usually when you least expect it.

P.S. I learned most of this filming an eye-and-ear popping nutrition course Dr. Heidi Dulay taught in CA this spring. I hope to make some of the videos available soon.

Do You Have the Courage to Market Like the Experts?

August 27th, 2008

If you are looking for three key methods to boost your lackluster sales as an affiliate marketer, then you will want to pull up a chair for this article. Specifically, we will discuss finding your target audience, marketing directly to this target audience, and we will discuss giving your audience a reason to buy from you, instead of your competition. After reading this article, you will be able to precisely home in on your target audience, and rather than marketing to their brain, you will be able to market directly to their pocketbooks.

When marketing any product, you must make sure you are marketing directly to your target audience. Before you can do this though, you must find your target audience, find what they are looking for, and give them what they want. If you don’t have your target audience nailed down from the start of your campaign, you are shooting yourself in the foot. Knowing who you are marketing to goes hand-in-hand with knowing what they want. After you know what they want, don’t hesitate to give it to them!

After finding your audience, You must market directly to this audience. Rather than creating a broad sales page that covers a large but vague audience, create a page that markets directly to your target audience, which will be the audience that will most likely have their credit cards in hand.

Give your audience a good reason to buy from you. What makes you think you are the only one marketing to a specific audience? You must face the fact that most often, there are hundreds of people targeting the same audience that you are. How do you get around this? Give your audience a reason to buy from you, over your competition. A simple way to do this, is to offer a bonus. Create a report, video series, or “bribe” your audience in some creative way.

To sell to your audience, you need to have a product that your audience will want to buy. Do some market research. What problems is your audience facing? what do they want a solution too? Browse message boards and Internet websites in your market. Find out what people are complaining about and make a list. After you have made a list, do some research and come up with a solution to some of these problems and compile it into a report. Remember, people work for their money and they aren’t going to buy from you unless you have something that they really want.

Finding your target audience will put you directly on the path toward your goal. Marketing directly to this audience will speed up the process by which you reach this goal, and giving your audience a reason to buy from you, rather than your competition will assure you a hefty paycheck at the end of the month.

Remember, your audience is ready, and you are putting on the show. If your performance is lackluster in any way, your audience will go on to the next guy. Make sure your audience gets what they want by applying these three tips today, and enjoy the benefits tomorrow!

Excuse Me

August 27th, 2008

The other night I was at the Coldplay concert and I was walking through a crowd and I realized: there is a term that many Americans seem to have forgotten. It’s a term that English people seem to overuse, or at least use in various forms.

Whenever you are on the subway – the tube in England – or in a crowded restaurant, and a British person bumps into you, they will immediately look at you and say, “sorry,” or “pardon me,” or “excuse me.” But Americans seem to have this incredible lack of knowledge about the term “excuse me” or the word “sorry.”

So I was walking through the crowd at the Coldplay show and this woman walks directly towards me. I looked at my buddy and I said, “I bet you a bottle of water,” (since we’re both such big drinkers,) “that she doesn’t say excuse me. I bet you she will just walk right into me and I’ll just stop.”

I’m walking towards her, I stop right in front of her, and she walks right into me. I looked at her, and I said, “excuse me!” and she didn’t say a word. I looked at her again and said, “the term is ‘excuse me.’ If you use this term, people will get out of your way.”

She looks at me again, and then walks into me again. I said, “the term is ‘excuse me,’ right? Did anyone ever teach it to you?” So she looked at me one more time, said, “I have to go find my friends,” and I said, “that’s not very close to ‘excuse me.’” She responded, “get out of my way?” And I said, “well, I guess that’s close enough!”

And I was thinking to myself: is this an isolated incident? I realized that it’s not.

I was recently in Sante Fe, New Mexico, a great, laid-back, beautiful mountain town. I was with a British friend of mine in Whole Foods. I said to her, “god, it’s like nobody says ‘excuse me’ here!” We had been walking by the salad bar, and a woman grabbed the utensils next to us, picks up the lettuce, dropping a piece onto my plate – and doesn’t even say a word! She didn’t say ‘excuse me’ or anything.

So I said to my friend, “let’s just walk right in the middle and when people are coming down with their carts, let’s just walk directly towards them and see if they say excuse me first.” Not once did anybody say ‘excuse me.’

What’s up with the manners? I just don’t get it! Are we so self-involved? Are we so caught up in our own little world? Are we thinking that we are the only person that exists?

I always say ‘excuse me.’ Good manners are really attractive.

Now the question that I’m going to pose to all of you today is this: are you an ‘excuse me’ person, a ‘pardon me’ person, or, anonymously, are you one of those people that don’t say a single thing? You just walk right through people, not saying ‘excuse me’ and you have no manners?

There seem to be a lot of you types running around, and I don’t understand the epidemic that seems to be spreading around the country. We’re going to start getting people to say ‘excuse me’ again.

People no longer have approach anxiety, but excuse me anxiety!

Improving Your Credit Increases Your Borrowing Power

August 27th, 2008

Whenever you apply for credit or a loan, the lender will first check your credit report to see what kind of score you have. This report gives a listing of all your bills and whether or not you have been diligent in making your monthly payments on time. If there are any negative points on this report, such as missed payments, applying for credit too often, or judgment or bankruptcy issues, you will have a difficult time obtaining the money you need because of poor credit. It is in your best interest to always maintain a good credit rating because it will have a serious impact on your ability to obtain credit in the future.

Your credit report is almost like a report card for lenders. Through the score you have lenders determine your likelihood to repay any money that you borrow. It is of utmost importance to always make your payments by the due date specified on your statement or on you loan agreement. Even if you have been negligent in this respect in the past, you can start improving your credit by making a concerted effort to make your payments. You won’t see a dramatic increase in your score immediately, but after six months or so, you should start to see it rise.

You are entitled to receive a free copy of your credit report. You should utilize this right to keep a check on your rating and to make sure that you have not become the victim of a scam or a fraud. Always scrutinize your report to make sure that all the listed accounts actually refer to your financial situation. If there are any items listed that you are doubtful about, contact the credit agency to receive further information. There have been many incidences where people have negative items on their credit that they did not initiate through fraudulent loans and purchases made in their names.

If you have poor credit, you might want to consider taking out a consolidation loan to pay off all your debts. Then you only have one payment to look after each month. You can save money in this way as well because the payment is usually a lot less than the amount you are currently paying with all of your bills. You can also take out a bad credit loan or a credit card. Even though you will have to pay a higher rate of interest on this loan, by making your payments on time, you can slowly start to rebuild your credit.

One of the best ways to improve your credit is to try and pay off your debts. You can start doing this by paying more than you need for your minimum payment. The amount will apply to your unpaid balance and thus reduce the amount of interest you have to pay next month. It is very surprising how increasing your payment by only a small amount will help bring down the balance. The best way to start is to begin with the debt with the lowest balance because it will be easier to pay this one off quickly. Then when you do have it paid off, add the amount you were paying to the payment for the debt with the next highest balance. It won’t be long before you see an increase in your credit rating as you pay off your bills.

There are many scams that advertise ways to improve your credit that will actually increase your debt putting you in further financial difficulty. Such services charge you a fee and may only offer advice as to methods you can use for repairing bad credit. You will only get information that you already have and will be out money.

There are promotions by credit card companies, though, that can help you improve your credit. By taking advantage of an offer of 0% interest to transfer your balances to a new credit card, you have an opportunity to combine all your debts into one balance with one payment. The added advantage is that because you won’t be paying any interest charges at all fro an introductory period, you have a chance to pay off more of the unpaid balance. If you can manage it at all, you can actually make a payment that is equal to the combined payments you were paying separately this reducing the unpaid balance rather quickly. Since there is no interest coming out of this payment, everything you pay will be applied to the balance.

When lenders obtain a copy of your credit report and see that you have combined all your bills on one credit card or in a debt consolidation loan, this is a point in your favor. This shows then that you are making an effort to improve your credit by taking necessary steps to improve your financial situation.
